The Piedmont School strives daily to be the educational oasis that quenches the thirst of students who learn differently.

For 40 years, The Piedmont School has been dedicated to providing a unique and essential experience to all of our students, kindergarten through 12th grade. For four decades, we have worked to provide a safe, nurturing, and special learning environment for intelligent young minds who struggle with either ADHD or learning differences such as dyslexia.

TPS & JYA Panthers are bright and capable students who experience roadblocks in their education due to not fitting the mold of traditional classroom structures. Our Panthers thrive with individualized, experiential and targeted educational programming

With our small class sizes, our faculty consisting of content area experts, and research-based programming, our students are able to finally feel success when they have often only felt defeat. Our students are taught about their learning style, they learn to self advocate, and they are able to have a well-rounded educational experience.

A large part of providing a well-rounded educational experience for our Panthers is providing them with unique programming. We have a robust Arts Department, a competitive Athletics program, amazing after-school clubs such as Lego, Robotics, and Book Club, and we believe in the power of not hearing it, but doing it, therefore we try to ensure as many field trips as possible for our students in all grades.

While the school's operating budget covers necessary expenses such as teacher salaries, utilities and facilities, and student necessities (books, supplies, etc)-- our Panther Fund helps us by giving unrestricted funds to areas such as special programming (Arts Dept, Athletics, Field Trips, Technology, etc). These generous gifts may only be a fraction of our budget on paper, but they are crucial in helping to continually provide and expand our special programs that are such an important piece to what we are able to accomplish at The Piedmont School & John Yowell Academy. We truly strive to provide an educational oasis for all of our students, to provide them an opportunity to take a breath and feel they are in a place that understands how they learn and challenges them to exceed their potential.

We hope you will consider helping us to continually enrich and cultivate our oasis by contributing to The Panther Fund. You can donate online in recurring gifts or one time donations. We also accept checks and credit cards at the school. Checks should be made out to The Piedmont School with "Panther Fund" written on the memo line and mailed to:
